Sandisk micro sd card 8 gb format write protected

i tried downloading the HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool and it reads write-protected. i tried formatting it with my cell phone and nothing! i need help.

There may be a little tab/switch on it that you can flick to remove the security/write protection.
