Hello,
I am a student at a university for computer science and informatics, and I was hoping some of you forum folks can give me a straight forward answer to my new configuration:

1. A 15,6 inch Acer notebook with an Intel Pentium (Sandy Bridge) B950 2.1 GHz with 2MB L3 cache processor, 4 GB of DDR3 Ram, 500 GB of HDD and other stuff that laptops have(webcam, wifi, dvd-rw, bluetooth).

- Its about 350 Euros, and its an alternative to what i firstly choose:

2. A 15,6 inch Acer notebook with an Intel Core 2 Duo (Penryn) P7350 2.0 GHz with 3MB L2 cache processor, 2 GB of DDR3 Ram, 320 GB of HDD and other stuff that laptops have(webcam, wifi, dvd-rw).

- Its about 300 Euros, and it has no alternative at that price point, except some AMD systems, that I don't trust from performance perspective.

So I would appreciate if you can give me a honest advice which configuration should I choose that will last me for at least 3 years (my studies are 3+2 years).

Thanks in advance,
Foreign student.
