Satellite L855D-100 cpu upgrade

I have a Toshiba Satellite L855D-100. It has a Amd A8-4500m and im wondering if i can upgrade the cpu to a newer one like the a10-5750m ? It has the same socket FS1. I cant find any info online about this.

Funny that you ask about that - I have done that exact upgrade on a hp g6 - no problems whatsoever and a noticeable improvement. Needless to say, that doesn't guaranty your satellite would support it but I'd be surprised if it didn't.

I'm not positive about this but i think .... the A10 - 5750m is the most powerful processor made for the FS1r2 socket.

I see there is a working 5750m (with free shipping) on ebay auction - highest bid is $11.50 so far - closes in 2 days - if you could score that for $25 or so you'd be doing well.
