They arrogantly scan one's intimate parts whilst a blind eye is turned on the border with Mexico (want a shocker? Compare it to Iraq)..whilst America is handed over to offshore interests. Look, guys.. he has a pocket Constitution in his backpack - no wonder he didn't want to be scanned..

[citation][nom]purist[/nom]I'm a big fan of making travel safe. But air travel has been a pretty safe way to get around since the late seventies. After the unpleasantness of September 2001 security became far more intrusive There is no evidence that it has improved security, though I accept that this is hard to show. Unfortunately the trend is now to increase the intrusiveness of security even without further attacks. This is hardly reasonable. However, this new scanner is not intrusive. It is simply a better screening method than was previously available. The old metal detectors required me to be patted down fairly regularly as they "beep" for no apparent reason. This scanner might fix that and get me to my plane faster. The first new security measure that offers me something. Nice.[/citation]

I guess you forgot the potential health risk with these scanners. You do know its using far more harmful radio waves on you right ? Of course they said its "safe". You get cancer later? sucks to be YOU. Cuz as far as I know none of those TSA people need to go thru that scanner nor any of the "VIPs" AKA people who push this shit.

If they have it at JFK. Im 99% sure I am moving out of this country. Trust me I would.

[citation][nom]otacon72[/nom]What a bunch of fruitcakes in here. I fly at least once a week, scan me and I'm on my way. I'm through airport security in 5 mins. Don't fly then, leave the country...I don't give a shit..lol The FBI can be listening to every phone call I make, go through my computer (don't mind the hot pics of my GF), go through my bank accounts I don't care...why? I have nothing to hide. You can easily pick out the conspiracy theorist on the board. I worked for the TSA for 2 years...none of you would last 1 hour doing their job....couldn't hack it.[/citation]

You have nothing to hide right? keep going thru that scanner and don't be shock when you see a tumor.

TSA? u mean those rent-a-cop I mean drop outs? I have zero respect for them. Keeping us safe? kiss my ass.

This is bogus. Are we living in the USA or a Russian Gulag? Come on people, the government is getting a very heavy handed! I opt for the pat down just on principal!

So, who wants some Viagra before we fly today? I'll bring a whole bottle.
^_^
[citation][nom]thefog101[/nom]as long as the body scan is done by a qualified agent of the same sex as the individual being scanned than i personally dont see what the problem is.[/citation]
Is it so wrong that if, need be, I prefer to be searched by the opposite sex? Do I really want to have some man perform a cavity search? I'd either break their arm or my own in the process.

Then again, maybe they should hire doctors to do it, how many men get their prostate checked? You may be cocaine and bomb free, but cancer may be hiding!
Or maybe I need to stop posting when I'm tired.

This makes me absolutely sick. I'm disgusted by people that willingly give up personal liberty for so little. This obtrusiveness is not OK! The threat of dying due to a terrorist attack is infinitesimal compared to so many other things we do and allow to happen daily, such as driving, smoking, eating unhealthy food, walking on wet sidewalks, etc... What a truly sad state we have reached.

P.S. I really don't care who sees me naked and would walk around in the nude regularly if so many people didn't have mental issues with repression of sexuality or something, so much that they insist on laws against public nudity. But I feel I should have the liberty of privacy should I so desire, and it's being stripped away for absolutely no good reason.

I agree with maxh2, I could care less about people seeing my body-so what everyone is basically the same. It's the principle. I bet nobody here posting has ever done state time. You wouldn't believe the lengths people go to to sneak/transport things in prison. Full body scanners? ha! A group of four men could easily sneak plastic explosives past it using well, less then dignified means.

A clever and determined terrorist is unstoppable. Instead of punishing regular citizens we should solve the root of the problem-why those crazy towelheads want to kill us in the first place.

They should just make everyone check their clothing and all belongings. There're few places to conceal explosives if everyone's nude.

You don't? What if they decide to incriminate you for talking to someone you knew little about like what happened with the whole "communism fiasco"? What if you say something pro or anti religious and they decide to chop your balls off? You may think its a bit wildly rediculous, but take a look at history and you'll realize where we are headed. History repeats itself.

If anybody can jack of to those pictures then they need psychiatric help. It's about as erotic as a sculpture of a nude. Even less so actually, because everything is all squished up. Dead-sexy (not) :p I'm not American, but I don't see a problem with this. All you should do is set up an appropriate regulatory structure to deal severely with security people who do end up abusing the scanners for whatever reason. Stop being such prudes. In my opinion in this day and age air travel cannot be the pleasant activity it may have been a few decades back - That ideal has been messed up by terrorists - But moaning is no use. It's like crying over spilled milk. Be brave dammit.

I feel really sorry for and Agent having to intimately search me, It will be the most embarrassing thing they have ever done, trust me when I say they will never be able to carry on with the search part of their job!

What scares me is Coconuts.......

Seriously, coconuts kill more tourists who fly than terrorists, we should stop worrying about terrorists and go after coconut trees instead.

the only issue i have is with how much radiation are you subjected to each time you pass through one. They say its low. But their not gonna say well their is a chance of sterility are they or your tackle with glo on the other hand you won't have to turn the light on if need to go to the toilet in the night lol.

For the bussiness traveler who flys frequantly would have to pass through alot these over time.

Depends whose doing the initimate search.

If it's that cute little blonde TSA girl I saw on a connecting flight through Atlanta earlier this year, she can stick her finger up my butt all she wants.
