Screen Flashing and System Crashing

My Sager laptop with switchable graphics is crashing randomly it seems. When i go to play Skyrim the screen flashes very quickly and dims. When i try playing Dota the game freezes after being on the menu for 15 seconds or so. Then i am forced to hard restart my laptop. Most of the time when trying to boot my laptop i just get a black screen after the windoes logo but it is still backlit. Ive had it crash while just on the web a couple times too. I tried reinstalling drivers and checking temperatures, bith if whcich were fine. What could the issue be?

my friend has that problem once with his optimus enabled laptop. my suggestion is to claim warranty (RMA is prefferable) if you still has a warranty for it. since most likely it's a hardware defect.
