SD card Files changing

I have been trying to copy some videos to an external sd card but they seem to almost always change into a podcast or audio files completely different when opened.

This happens if I try directly from the pc or copying from internal memory to the sd card.

Any ideas?

Are the videos saved as an actual video file (like .mp4, .avi, .mkv, .wmv, etc)?

Yes. They keep the file extension and size but have different lengths listed and don't play as the correct file

I moved a folder on the sd card to another location and now it does not show up on the phone and only 1 file shows up in that folder from the pc.

Is this the SD card giving up?
