Sennheiser HD 449 upgrade.

Hello,
I'm planning on upgrading my Sennheiser HD 449s to higher end headphones. I've been looking at the HD 598s as they are within my budget of £140. I'm looking for headphones with a balanced, neutral sound. Would the 598s be the best option?

Also I am using an Asus Xonar DGX soundcard, would I benefit from upgrading to a USB DAC/Amplifier such as the FiiO E10K?

I own a 598 and found AKG's K612 to generally be more natural and clearer sounding. The Xonar DGX should be able to power either one to sufficient listening levels.
