Hello, I'm looking at 2 computers, price difference $100 which increases SDRAM from 6 to 8GB and adds a separate AMD graphics card vs. intel integrated 3000 graphics. Is it worth the money?

Solution
Depends on the video card.

The Intel HD 3000 is a slightly more powerful than the desktop HD 5450. If you the upgraded video card is something like a Radeon Mobility HD 6550, then that's a very good deal. If you are getting a Mobility HD 6470, then that is good since it is around as powerful as the desktop Radeon HD 5550.

In my opinion (as a gamer), I aqalways go for descrete cards, never integrated. However, if you don't game or use demanding graphical applications, then the integrated card should be fine.
