Sharing Outlook Calendar

Hello,

An employee that worked here for years has recently left. She had set up her outlook calendar for specific reoccurring dates/events that change. I need to grant a different user access to this her calendar BUT cannot allow the user access to the previous employees emails. So basically can I just grant the new user read/write access to the previous employees outlook calendar.

Another question: Is it possible to take the previous employees calendar data and put it on a shared calendar for the department?

My company uses Exchange 2008.

Work with your company IT department to get this setup, but you can add rights to just the Calendar of a user not their emails. You should be able to export the calendar info and add it into a department calendar.

Oh, then just go to the Exchange server, open the mailbox that you want and you will see the folders for that person, right-click on the Calendar and you'll see a permissions tab. That is one of the basic things you need to do if working in Exchange and Outlook. Lots of books about it.
