Shortcuts for Chrome and Firefox keep changing target locations.

Hi there. So i have desktop shortcuts for chrome and firefox and the shortcuts keep on changing locations so the shortcuts become broken

Initially they work, but after a few hours or a restart they switch to a new location.

At first I have it in the C drive (OS ssd) @
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe"

but then it switches to
"D:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe"

So I suspect its a registry issue because I changed the default install paths to the D drive and I also changed the User directory to the D drive.

Does anyone know how to fix this? I know I can simply install the browsers in the D drive, but I want them to launch quickly from the ssd.
