Sibilant s sound in pre recorded music

Hello,
i have a lot of LP's from the 70's & 80's a lot of them have a sibilant 's' sound in them that sounds annoying do you or is there a device out there other than a equalizer or de-esser to smooth over it so that it sounds more lifelike

It's called a phono preamp. The preamp has eq curves built into it to take the sibilant sound out.

That is real natural music you hear the s sound which different singers have.Live with it especially if you have a speaker which has a metal dome tweeter and it emphasizes it more.I had Magnepan speakers one time and they had a ribbon tweeter which really presented the sibilance quite a bit but I lived with it.I do not believe in coloration or equalizers.

The phono preamp contains an RIAA equalization curve. If you are getting sibilance, it's an indication that the phonograph is playing through and audio input that is not a real phono preamp. You may be using an AUX or tape input. You gotta use a phono input.

Why just listen to the real sound of the singers not coloration.
