When I first start my Toshiba Satellite C50-A-1DV laptop up, a little pink line stretches horizontally across the screen, about a quarter of the way down. I've messed about with the graphics properties and resolution but nothing in there's making it go away. The moment I tap the screen the line disappears and is gone until I next put the laptop into sleep or shut it down. This has been the case for three or so days.
Having had graphical errors with Toshiba electronics in the past I'm betting it's the screen itself and will quickly develop to the point that the laptop cannot be used, though I'd like to hear some other opinions before I commit to buying and fitting anything. I'd rather nip the cause in the bud.
I haven't hooked it up to an external display yet but may try that later, though I doubt it's the motherboard or any of its components.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for reading.
