Slow Asus K52JT Laptop

Hello,
I bought a new laptop,
i5 480m 2.66 GHZ
4GB Ram
ATI HD 6370
500GB HDD
windows 7 home premium
However its extremely slow while booting or playing games ( i get 20 FPS average in dawn of war with medium settings!) I even disable the side bar and anti virus while playing. I regret getting an asus

Well yea i know its a laptop i don't expect something amazing from it but c mon my old laptop with lower specifications did exactly the same, i think even better...somehow. If you say with these specifications i can do this much then alright.

P.S im sure nots about overheating because i have an external cooler.
