Smart Tv wireless network

I'm not able to connect the TV to Comcast wireless network. Someone posted about the router being 5N only with TV 2.4N. Didn't understand answer. Can the router settings be changed so TV connects?

I have a Vizio smart tv. In order for me to connect wireless i had to press the v on the remote, then on the apps there is also HDTV SETTINGS, I click on that and the option for Network comes up , I click on that n look for my homenetwork name. I have comcast internet so they do give you the name of your network. Click on that n it should set u up. Hope that helps
