Someone put a camera in binoculars and Vista is confused

Hello,
I bought a pair of binoculars/digital camera at a yard sale for $1.00 because the guy said he couldn't find the driver to download on his computer so he could transfer photos. I thought I could find it where he could not and I failed. From what I can tell, it's because I'm running Windows Vista. The camoculars, or binamera is a Meade CVB1003 8x22 and I'm flummoxed, If anyone can help in any way I would really appreciate it.
(I'm sure you unerstand that it's not about the dollar.)

Do you have the USB cable come with the CVB1003 8x22 ? If no I find this you can buy it from the local shop( USB Type A to B Cables http/www.mycablemart.com/store/cart.php?m=product_list&c=26&gclid=CO3NhKyclbMCFUYw4Aod3V8AaQ), because I found the USB cable look like this from amazon's picture http/www.amazon.com/Meade-CaptureView-Digital-Binocular-Compact/dp/B00006FROK

Then you connect the CVB1003 8x22 and PC with cable, turn on the PC, the CVB1003 should been show up in PC screen, if it don't automatically show up you need go to the control panel is accessed through the Start button in the lower left part of the computer screen, go to scanners and cameras or other devices (because I don't use the vista, but all the windows should be the same), add the device or view the device. You should see your CVB1003. Then you can double click the CVB1003 to download the pictures.

Yes, I have gone through all the steps as you've suggested and Windows Vista does not recognize the device and is unable to find anything compatible on the net. It seems the device manufacturer made the decision to no longer go forward supporting Windows Vista. Thank you for your recommendations.
