Sony vaio pcg-31311m screen replacement issues

hello i have a problem with a sony screen replacement.
my customer sat on the the sony an cracked the insides of the screen,some parts are white some parts are black.
so i orderd a replaecment screen 11.6 inch screen.
got it still didnt work but this time no power was coming to the screen or to the old screen when i tested that.
so i tested it on an external monitor works ok thier so i orderd a led cable that came to today same problem
my customer is really pissed can anybody help me?

i have now managed to get some video on the screen buts all red with the old led cable the new nothing?please please someone help

Hi

I own a laptop repair company in the UK...

Its the WRONG screen...

The numbers on the WHITE STICKERS on the back of BOTH screens MUST MATCH EXACTLY ...every single letter and number...

hello brett thx mate,you could be right the new screen isnt the same as the old one.
the old screen is a ltn116at04 the new one is a lp116wh2(tl)(c1)

Hi

Common problem with lappy screen suppliers...

Send it back, and ask THEM to read out the numbers etc on the CORRECT SCREEN to you BEFORE you tell them the numbers...

hello i orded a new screen i asked for like for like again still got a diffrent screen anyway it worked so i was putting it back together and i checked it by booting up it started not booting the sony bios screen again?
pretty pissed off with this.
still boots to external monitor.
the new led cable still didnt work with the new screen!
