SONY VAIO VGN DVD TRAY REPLACEMENT

I have a NGN-N21S Laptop and the CD/ DVD tray does not close, could anyone explain why this is please.

I updated the driver and it started to lock into place, so it wasn't a machinical issue. Thanks anyway

That is impossible, you probably just jarred it a bit into place. This would be like having your car door fixed by getting a car wash, then every time your door does not lock you go wash your car.

I have seen people do 4 steps to fix an issue that only takes one step, but they do all 4 steps each time because that is what worked for them the first time it was fixed.
