Hi everyone!
So I was gaming with my Sony laptop all the time and I'm not worried about the battery life because I used VAIO power management to stop charging at 50% or 80%. (This power management won't work on anything above Win 7 and Sony has now stopped support for its laptops)
Now that I've moved to another city (since I got a job), I'm not gaming on my laptop anymore. It's been 5 years since I bought this laptop and it's now becoming slow in all the basic processes. Specifications from speccy as follows:
So, I've planned to upgrade to its RAM (to 8 GB), Win 8.1 (or even 10) and after a few months - to an SSD.
My question is, will my battery lifetime get affected without the VAIO power management while doing normal stuffs like browsing (multiple tabs), listening music, background downloading, etc (no gaming, rendering or such heavy tasks) ??? If YES, what should I do to prevent it from degrading?
P.S. I'm asking this 'cause this is my second battery for this laptop and I don't want it to get failed as well. (Also, no SONY genuine batteries will be available in my place).
Thanks in advance for those who help
