Sony Vegas Pro 12 Render Problems

So I have recently wanted to make videos for youtube, but the rendering for a 17 second clip took about 16 minutes to render.. The clip is just of white texts with effects on a black background, with audio of course..

System Specs:
OS: Windows 8.1
GPU: GeForce GTX 660
CPU: Intel Core I5
Ram: 8 Gigs.

Render Setting: Main Concept AVC/AAC
Internet HD 720P with Encode mode to "Use CUDA if available"

I am not too educated with Sony Vegas Pro, as I am learning it and try to get better at editing, but if it takes 15 minutes to render a 17 second clip its going to be near impossible to improve. As I need to check each clip to see how it is in full quality.

Any help would be appreciated, I would love to be able to start editing soon.

Try using something other than Main Concept like the Sony renderer and see if that helps. What are exporting the videos as (h.264 or something else)?
