I have a Sony TR317 video eight camcorder which seems to play tapes okay and can be seen in the viewfinder but when plugged into the TV the picture is extremely distorted and it is hard to recognise anything at all. As soon as I plug in the video plug I see this distorted view. I am plugging the camcorder into a DVR with an RCA input. I have tried multiple cables so I know the cable is okay.
