Question Sound bar not outputting sound from monitor!

Good afternoon,

I have a Sony S100F 2.0ch sound bar. I'm not sure if it can connect to my monitor or pc but it wont give sound when i try to. Was hoping someone could help.

I would think you would attach it directly to your PC. How are you physically connecting it to your PC?

So the sound bar has a HDMI port, optical in port, and a usb port. I have tried to hook it up using usb, HDMI, and the optical cable I have has the aux at the end of it.

Never mind I figured it out the wrong cables were being used, thank you for taking the time to respond to my post. I appreciate the help.
