Sound on off

I have a rca sound bar and rca tv hooked up through the orange coaxial wire and the sound keeps going on and off.How do i solve this problem?

If the cable you are using isn't really a digital audio cable try one that is. A high quality composite video cable usually work well.
Check the setting in the TV audio menu. Try changing the audio output type.
If you can try the soundbar with another TV or vice versa that would help determine which is the problem.
