So I get a buzz with my speakers. When my PC is on, when I move the mouse, or move a window, or play youtube, i get a buzz. And it's of varying frequencies and loudness.

I have two Yamaha HS5's and a YSTFSW100 subwoofer connected to my Xonar dsx 7.1 sound card on my PC. This just gets worse when I use the onboard audio. I don't have this issue when I just connect my speakers to other devices like a keyboard that I own, so i'm aware the speakers are the issue. The HS5's are connected via XLR to 3mm jack (yes i know that XLR is balanced and 3mm isn't) and these are the ones giving me the issue. The subwoofer doesn't. My own guess is that there is an issue with grounding somewhere? Anyone have any other ideas or how to fix it.

Here is a link to what it sounds like if I have some music on.

Appreciate the reply. Will the isolator sap any of the "quality" of the speakers? I've also been advised to use an external sound card, do you think that would help?

That is one lengthy document lmao.
