Steam is corrupt and/or unreadable

I just tried launching steam and after it updated, it closed and amessage popped up saying "The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable".

I haven't messed around with anything on my computer recently so I'm not sure what caused this.

Looks like you need to delete that taskbar shortcut and put the new Steam one on there to me. It did just Update after all.
