Sub woofer issues

I have a problem with my sub woofer working with my Dennon AVR-590 . I've replaced the sub cable and also went threw my settings on the receiver . I can touch the sub and feel a very small amount of vibration coming threw . Any help would be greatly appreciated

Full disclosure please. Did this EVER worked? An active/passive sub?

You checked the receiver speaker set up menu that the subwoofer output is turned on?
That the level isn't turned down there or the back of the subwoofer?
It's very common for subwoofer amps to break.

Yes I've check the settings on the receiver and the sub is set to on . I also have a adjustable knob on the back of the sub to set on whatever preference . The receiver has a test mode on all the surround speakers but when it comes to the sub woofer no sound comes threw
