Subwoofer connections

I have recently purchased a yamaha receiver htr-4065 and want to hook it up to an older powered subwoofer. Instructions indicate subwoofer should be connected to receiver using a single pin connection (like one channel RCA?). My subwoofer has a R/L line level in connectors as well as traditional wire (speaker level in) connections.

Any help with a solution will be greatly appreciated

Just use one the the R/L line inputs. If one is marked as mono (or bypass) use that one but otherwise it is fine to just use either one. Set the frequency control on the back of the sub all the way up and the volume to about 1/2. The Yamaha will set those things for you when you run the auto set up (or manually if you prefer).
