We have Surface Pro 3 and for some reason password stopped working. Few days ago my password is not accepted by Surface Pro 3 for my local account. Tried typing with different keyboard layouts I have. Tried different Surface Pro keyboards and onscreen keyboard too.
Password reset disk is out of the question because I never made it in the first place.
Tried to create a bootable USB with password reset tool SpotMau with MBR+UEFI, GPT+UEFI settings using ISO2USB and Rufus but never boots.
Tried to disable Safe Boot in UEFI settings of Supface Pro 3 but doesn't help. Also tried holding down Volume Down + Power button thing. Tried holding Shift while restarting then choose USB Device to boot from. In UEFI boot order is USB->SSD.
Tried CD/DVD password reset disk but external USB CD/DVD reader doesn't get enough power to read the disk and keeps "chocking" on the disk or something.
Is there a way to reset password on Surface Pro 3 and keep all data and programs without hard reset?
