Surround Sound to PC Setup

I have a Samsung surround sound kinda like this:

(not sure if they sell it anymore)
Anyways, im having trouble actually play sound out of it. it works with a tv ect... I have all the components plugged in, hdmi is plugged in, and the actual "box" thingy works aswell. so any help would be great

so you have hdmi from pc to receiver? Did you select hdmi audio in sound properties?
