Swapping out Hard Drive for SSD, now won't show in boot manager

Just finished swapping out the 500 GB hard drive in my new Acer (Acer E15 E5-571-37SY) and when I boot, it says on the screen, "No bootable device". When I go into the BIOS it tells me to plug in my boot media (which I assume this is my bootable windows 8 thumb drive) and on the next menu it will show me all my boot options. When I go to the next menu, there's nothing.

I already put the old hard drive back in just to test to see if I screwed up a connection possibly but it boots up fine so it looks like it's just the system not recognizing the new SSD.

Any ideas on this?
Thanks

How do I get into the full BIOS settings? I'm hitting F1 during boot up to get into the boot manager but that's all I've been able to get into so far.

Figured out F2 gets it into BIOS and I had to set my boot devices as USB HDD first and USB FFD second followed by the SSD.
Now the problem is that my USB won't auto load windows, I have to manually boot it from the drive so I'm not sure how I'm going to get the laptop to recognize it.

Had to do a clean install because the old image was made on an EFI system and this one on a BIOS which is weird because it's on the same system but oh well, missed out on a few free programs Acer included. Now the problem is the fact that Acer didn't include a license key for Windows and I copied down the product key thinking it was the same thing. So now I'm stuck and forced to call Acer to get a product key or something...
