Tab A Printing

I have recently purchased Galaxy Tab A 9.7 and a Canon Pixma MX 475 printer all set up wirelessly and working. Installed Canon print app but on trying to print get message " cannot find printer" Any help please.

Update, I can print wirelessly from my desktop PC ok. I can use the internet wirelessly from Tab A but I cannot print from Tablet. I have canon print app installed also. Hope this info. helps

The possible problem here is that there has to be a wireless network. A tablet and a printer only don't create that. In such a case you would need an actual WiFi network as well to make this work, and both the printer and the tablet would have to be connected to that network.

The printer and tablet are both connected to and working ok wirelessly from router the problem is with trying to print from tablet

Ahh, I misunderstood. I thought there wasn't a WiFi network. Hmm, then if they are both connected to the network they should be able to connect to each other, via the network. Do any other devices have access and if so, can they see your printer?

Thanks for your reply. As you can see in my update. I have a desktop pc connected wirelessly to the same router as tablet and printer and i have no problem printing from pc just the tablet. Any ideas?

OK So it is printing wirelessly as well (the computer is) and it isn't connected physically? When you look at all the things connected and accessing the network, via the modem/router, can you see the tablet listed?

In a word Yes. Everything is connected i just cannot get to print from tablet. I have a friend with same tablet no problems. Thanks for reply

Try uninstalling (not just delete but actually uninstall) and reinstalling the printer app for the tablet.
