Tablet not still turning ON

My laptop is not showing any response to the tablet that I wanted to Troubleshoot I gave it to Hardware Engineer He said its jack has some problem I got it replaced he gave it to me and it was ON but when I got to home and tried charging it, it is not charging.....What should I do now????

Rather than accusing him of conning you, perhaps the diplomatic way is to go back and ask him to sell you the cable he used to make it work.

I get them in my shop sometimes and I can get the charger plugged in with the back off but not when I put the cover back on.
