Question Telephone number assigned to me

Believe it or not, no one has given me a definitive answer to the following question.

I was assigned a number for my Android by Tello that is outside of my local calling area. My question is, if friends who live in my local calling area call my cell phone number from a landline phone, will they be charged for making a toll call when they dial that number?

Thanks.

While I haven't had a landline in several years, whether your friend is charged to call your number (like old fashion long-distance calling) will depend on what calling plan your friend has. My last plan was a flat rate for all US calling.

Thank you both.

Yes, COLGeek, it was pointed out to me that it all depends on what sort of plan the potential caller has. Difficult decision for me, because the number that's been assigned to me is super easy to remember. Don't know whether it is worth the trouble to change it, just to make it easier for my local friends to call me without incurring a toll call. Most of them would call my landline anyway.

Brave new world, getting my very first cell phone at age seventy-something!
