the cables of the network card?

hi,

I am trying to figure out what certain cables do for my laptop, I want to try and make my own laptop casing (no screen or keyboard), just for fun, its an old laptop and it won't be used much anymore so I thought why not. So I took it completely apart, but the only thing i don't know what it does or why it is even there are the cables coming from the network card (picture, i colored the black one purple just for visual purposes) can anyone please explain what to do with these cables or how i remove them. can i just replace the NIC with a usb-variant one ?

these are your wireless antenna cable there are usualy set around panel .

thanks for the fast respons, any suggestions on how to implement them into a custom casing ? are they best placed as high up as possible ?

check that you get all the parts that are with the cable like a plate or something similar they should be set the same way as the original settings .

I will do that, with same settings, do you mean same distance apart ?
