The Cannon Camera will no longer download from either the memory card or the camera. I am quite upset as i have my "dream" vacation coming up. Zoom browser was wonderful and then Cannon discontinued it. What can I do?

Switch to Nikon. In 30+ years none of my bodies or lenses have malfunctioned or gone obsolete. I started out with an F2 body and a 1.4 lens, and kept adding over the years.

Get an external memory card reader, they cost very little (typically 10-20 on amazon). Don't use the Canon software, you don't need it.
If your camera is very old and your cellphone is very new, you might compare which one does the best job. It will very likely still be the Camera, but it might be worth a look. If this is a "once in a lifetime" type adventure, consider getting a better camera for the trip. In general the camera with the largest sensor will do the best job.
