I have a laptop lenovo y520 I7 7700HQ GTX 1050 4GB 8 GB RAM in games I have selected gtx 1050 from nvidia manually but in games it looks like they use more integrated video card than dedicated !!! INTEL 70% and NVIDIA 30% use NVIDIA High-performance nvidia processor.could it be done?

Solution
Well both will be used even if you choose the nvidia. Some things do not need/require it and just run on the other.

When it comes to updates for drivers, you don't have to only get them from the manufacturer's site, however, it is possible there are no updated drivers for some, as after a certain point, they may stop making updates for it. That doesn't mean the last one they did make isn't the right thing to use. Just because it says an older date doesn't mean it is the wrong thing.
Try this...

A. Uninstall, and then reinstall, the latest graphics card driver.
B. Make sure that your Nvidia graphics card is set as the default graphics card.

Here's the steps on how to set it to default.

1. Open the "Nvidia Control Panel".
2. Select "Manage 3D Settings" under 3D Settings.
3. Click on the "Program Settings" tab and select the program you want to choose a graphics card for from the drop down list.
4. Now select "preferred graphics processor" in the drop down list. (You can see what the automatic option is listed as global setting) If you want to use the dedicated graphics card, select High-performance Nvidia processor.

Once it is running on the right one, test the system again and see if the problem persists.

I've gone through all these steps! but the problem persists.
if i only choose the intel card then nvidia is not used only if i choose the board from nvidia then run the two !!!
if I choose from here https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/28445/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10?product=80939

install it only with Intel® Driver & Support Assistant as specified!

Version: DCH 25.20.100.6471
which is Windows DCH
then the integrated video card is 0 and nvidia is used! is that what I just wanted intel to say is not recommended to install the driver if my maker does not provide this service to drivers, can cause problems !!
the driver from the manufacturer is from 2017 from intel
what to do?
