The "right" tablet for me? "College / Start to career" Not Solved yet

I am a College student currently a Junior in Bach Degree in HVAC Engineering,
I'm looking for a tablet for the following reasons:

MS Word - large word file etc
MS Excel - Basically live in this program.
PDF viewing - A lot of print of building and large files
The Web because of classes and such and Just staying organized.

There are so many different tablets and pads that I don't really know whats good and whats not so I'm looking for most bang $$$ for my dollar and also I'm a college student so I need the cheapest or mid grade.
I am hoping I can use it in my career / internship as well.
Also I don't game.

How does this compare to dell? isn't the W4 having problems with blue screens and battery drain issue's?
Also do they make a keyboard for this?
