I have a XL2720Z and this happened suddenly in one of the worst times of my life which is wonderful.
The half down is like that and the image takes 1-2 seconds to “update”
If I don’t do anything it gets whiter by the second like it’s creating layers of itself whiter and whiter.
If I move and it updates to the next frame it shows a ghost of the last frame.

If you take a close look half of the monitor is grey.
What could it be?
