I have a K7T Turbo2 and Im getting my proccessor in tomorrow. I have PC100 RAM, so I need to run the FSB at 100. My question is, will the cpu detect this and use a different multiplier, or will I need to unlock it? Im getting a 900 t-bird.

Don't know your mobo. My Epox KTA+ has a jumper "cpu host clock select", 100 is "default" and there is 133. Presently use a Duron 750. Hard to beleive I would have to play with a Thunderbird to get it running at 100mhz on my board. I dare say your situation is similar!

Just put it in with jumpers set to 9x100, or in bios. I don't have that board but they all about the same.

Yep, like teh guy says, put it in and set everything you can find to 100 instead of 133. No way this won't work.

By default, your mobo will set its FSB at 100MHz so you just pop it in and will show correct speed for your TB 900MHz(9*100).

 Good or Bad have no meaning at all, depends on what your point of view is.
