toshiba 445 cdx does no see external floppt

running win 2k laptop does not recognize floppy n bios set to boot floppy cd then hd. it wont boot from cd but sees it once booted

After you set the CD/DVD drive as the first boot device in the BIOS, save the BIOS settings before you exit the BIOS. From then on it will see the CD/DVD drive as the first boot device.

When you are done trouble shooting, you can reset the BIOS to boot from the hard disk as the first boot device; and save settings before exiting the BIOS.
