Toshiba C855 to ASUS MX299Q

Having issues with a Toshiba Satellite C855D-5100 running Win10-32Bit and an ASUS MX299Q. Toshiba only has a VGA port but theASUS monitor has DVI, HDMI and Displayport inputs. I tried a few cables VGA to DVI, VGA to DP, nothing seems to work. Is this laptop not capable of supporting this screen?

I have a Toshiba Satellite c855d-5100 running Windows 10 32bit. Trying to get a Asus mx299q monitor to work. The Toshiba only has a VGA port. The ASUS only has DVI,HDMI and DisplayPort inputs. I've purchased a few different types of VGA adapaters and none work. Anyone have any luck or advice?
