My Qosmio doesn't recognise the HDD included in the optical bay caddy. The facts are:
1.The caddy is operational as it was tested in an another laptop.
2.The HDD is also operational.
3.When I'm inside Windows and I have the caddy disconnected,if I put it in place,it's fully operational.When I reboot,it is lost again.
Thanks in advance!!

Try one of these and see if it resolves your problem....

Option 1 ...

1. Try enabling "Hot Plugging" for the SATA port that connects to your optical bay. You might also try changing the "Boot Mode" setting to UEFI to see if that helps.

Option 2 ...

1. Go to "Control Panel" and then "Administrator Tools".
2. Next go into "Computer Management", "Storage" and then "Disk Management".
3. Your second disk may show, but as inactive.
4. Right click on the window that represents that drive and then change it to "Active Partition (drive)".
5. If needed, select "Create Partition".
6. Only if needed, select "Format".
7. Now wait a moment and the drive will change to a status of "Health" at the top of windows and your drive data should not be...
