Toshiba laptop drivers will not install

I have a Toshiba Satelite C55D-B5310 part number PSCN4U-00T019 and the touch pad will not work. I went to Toshiba's website to download and install and once i tried to install it it fails every time. I then went to Elans website to get a manufacturers driver but when i try to install it fails too. Does anyone know were i can get a proper driver that wont fail during instillation?

What your os? What was the exact fail install error message?

Its running windows 7 64 bit. i was now able to install it but the trackpad still does not work the driver says that its installed and enabled but it still does not work i checked to see if it disables wile usb mouse is connected and it doesn''t disable. It still does not work
