Toshiba Satellite A215-S6816 does not power up.

Laptop will not power up with or without battery or ac adapter.

No power status indicator lamps light up.

Unit seems to be a paper weight now.

Getting good power from the ac adapter 14.49vdc. 1.5A-3A (no load)

Any ideas on next troubleshooting step before I open up the machine?

Power jack welding broken or... Motherboard is dead. Jope it's the first or you have a big paper weight. Have any chance to charge up the battery in another laptop for testing?

Hi, your laptop have a fuse in the circuit for the adapter and for the battery, you can verify if they are good.
