Toshiba Satellite Laptop won't turn on.

I switched out the screen to my laptop and then put it back together. Now it doesn't turn on. the light on the power button turns on and the fan turns on. But after a few seconds the fan shuts off and the light goes off.

Did you replace it with the correct display or did you use an alternate one?

we bought three of them. I replaced the screen with one from a different computer, but of the same model.

It may not actually work correctly then. That isn't uncommon.
