Hi, i have a Toshiba Satellite C855-S5214 here that wont turn on properly, the AC adapter is working that much is sure. When pressing the power button the LED wont turn on neither will the screen or anything else for that matter, but you can still hear and feel the fan turning on inside. i removed the battery and the cord LED went form orange to a white. Any help would be appreciated.

Solution
Pull the battery out and disconnect the power cord. That will stop the fan. Wait 60 seconds, then replace either the AC cord and battery. Try to boot it.

If it does not work, repeat but without replacing the battery.

Hi,

first thing I would try,
- unplugg the computer, remove battery and the ram
- press on power for about 10 second
- put the memory back and plug in the computer and try to boot.

If it does, you should be ok.
If not, your motherboard is most likely dead
