Touch Pad not working

My Touch pad on my HP Ultrabook running windows 7 has a mind of its own and wont work on any area of the touchpad really. It highlights things, moves icons, or expands the web browser or window all on its own. and has done so since after the first few weeks I got it...its approx 16 months old. It is a work computer so I don't have admin rights to have changed anything important so I am hoping it is something very simple someone here can help me with please? It also wont expand or decrease or move from left to right with one or two finger scrolling etc

If you can access the drivers then I would try uninstalling and reinstalling them. If that doesn't work, I would contact your works IT department. That is what they are paid to do, fix the equipment.
