Hi! I am going off to college in the fall and I have been looking for laptops that will be portable but still have a little bit power for gaming as I enjoy playing starcraft 2, Guild wars 2, and few other games. I have narrowed to two laptops. One has better specs while the other is thinner and lighter.

HP Pavillion dv6t-7000 Quad Edition
-3rd generation Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3720QM Processor (2.6 GHz, 6MB L3 Cache) {I believe this comes with turbo as well}
-NVIDIA(R) GeForce(R) GT 650M Graphics with 2GB GDDR5 memory [HDMI, VGA]
-8GB DDR3 System Memory (2 Dimm)
-160GB (Solid State Drive Flash Module)
-15.6-inch diagonal Full HD Anti-glare LED-backlit Display (1920 x 1080)
-5.6lbs 1.22in thick

Sony Vaio S series 15.5"
-3rd gen Intel® Core™ i7-3612QM quad-core processor (2.10GHz / 3.10GHz with Turbo Boost)
-15.5" LED backlit Full HD display (1920 x 1080)
-NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 640M LE (2GB) hybrid graphics with Intel® Wireless Display technology
-128GB (64GB x2) solid state drive with RAID 0
-8GB (4GB fixed onboard + 4GB removable) DDR3-1333MH
-4.5 lbs .9 in thick

I have been debating over this for a few weeks now. So I just gave up and decided that one of you has some more knowledge than me on this. So what I am asking is is there something i am missing that drastically points towards one of the laptops? What would you choose if you wanted a laptop that could play games well but still be somewhat mobile? and do you think I should go with the SSD or a hard drive. I keep my stuff very organized and delete things that aren't need so space isnt an issue and i cant get an external hard drive.

Thanks in advance.

Why can't you get an external hard drive? That could be very convenient. Anyway, go with the HP. It looks very nice, especially with the large SSD.
