Tracining my stolen Sony Vio laptop

Hello, I have Sony VIO laptop, model VGN-CS390c, it was stolen from my car a few days ago I can remember the last part of the serial number 7 digits but i dont have the first 8 digits of the serial, but i have the product ID number and the service tag number . Can I get the first part of the serial number? If yes can I use the serial number sfter that to trace the stolen Sony Laptop whenever its logged on to the internet by knowing the IP address and thus locating the region it is used in it ?

Step 1) Contact police and tell them your laptop is stolen
Step 2) Call your insurance company and tell them your laptop is stolen
Step 3) Call Sony and tell them as much information as possible about the serial number with luck they can probably look it up with your receipts of purchase.

If you don't want this advice then we cannot aid you. We are not physic or have magical intuition powers.

But seriously, that is an unfortunate event. Mightys advice is the the best, i hope you get your laptop back and catch the person responsible.

This happened to me yesterday. My laptop was stolen. I had a huge group behind me, searching for the ne responsable. Thank's to God there was a few people who saw, the person who did it. So, we went on, we know his name now. We got to know that he slled it to a group of people who sell guns and drugs. We know where the laptop hopefully is. But the police, say that the house is to dangerous to just enter.

I really want to get my laptop back, I'm not, so much interested in the laptop itslef, but the information inside. Allot, important documents. Etc.

But I believe in God, that He will do His will.
If really team up, with the police, ask people to help you, go on the streets, get on thier level, and your'e gonna find out who did it.

Chances are with your laptop Hildward that your probably never going to get it back. Good thing is if you had homeowners insurance/renters/laptop insurance one of those hopefully will be able to help you recover your losses from the theft.

If its seized by law enforcement you won't get the laptop back(at least not around here). That's what insurance is for.

My vaio was stolen too i have the serial and model number but how can i locate it? please reply asap
