Okay so here's the problem. I bought a JBL Amplifier, to watch shows from my external hard drive onto my projector. But for some reason, the amplifier cannot read the hard drive's content. Any way to get this to work?

Solution

USB ports on amplifier are more commonly used for maintenance, like firmware update. USB ports on amplifiers are not general purpose USB ports like on a PC. Limited usage. The manual would specifically says what you can use it for.

An amplifier with USB?
Do you mean a receiver?

It probably can't read NTFS. First try using a USB stick which is easier to mess with.

Take the USB stick and format it in FAT32 and put a movie on it - does it read the FAT32 stick?
