Trying to get 4k from pc to tv

Hey guys, i got a 4k tv recently and its great but, Im trying to get my pc to display 4k on it, i bought a hdmi 2.0 cable and ran it to the tv, it displays 1920x1080 just fine with no fuss but when i try to switch it up to 4k resolution it cuts off and losses signal.
I have a gtx 660, kind of old but it passes the 4k requirement on the nvidia site.
and the tv is TCL 55US5800.

check the hdcp compliant requirements of your PC. 4k displays have significant restrictions in this area.

You may need a video card that supports HDMI 2.0 or better and HDCP 2..2 to get 4k on a TV as opposed to a 4k monitor.
